Programmed Skilled Workforce are currently looking for a maintenance officer to work within established teams at a large outdoor recreational venue, that hosts various activities for schools and groups.

If you enjoy working outdoors, interacting with different visitors and offering a high level of customer service whilst ensuring safe and operational surrounds – this role is for you! On the job training and development, work life balance and make a difference in the community. This position will be casual for 3 months with the expectation of going into a permanent role.

In this role you will:

• Perform general and specific maintenance of venue facilities including accommodation, ablution blocks and indoor areas
• Minor building, grounds, maintenance, and preventative maintenance repairs
• Sports equipment repairs
• Pool maintenance duties
• Other general maintenance duties
• Maintenance equipment inventory
• Preparing facilities for client use
• Completing daily inspections of facilities to ensure they are ready for use, escalating issues where applicable.

What we are looking for:

• Previous experience in a similar role (tourism, recreation and hospitality industries)
• Positive Blue card – mandatory
• Current first aid and CPR certificate – mandatory
• Willing to go permanent
• Availability outside of operational hours (6am to 6pm)
• Pool operations experience – highly desirable
