About The Sir George
Set in the charming village of Jugiong, The Sir George is a destination country pub rooted in community, quality, and connection. With a history dating back to 1852, our beautifully restored venue blends timeless hospitality with modern sensibilities. We offer boutique accommodation (11 rooms), a seasonal restaurant and versatile event spaces that come to life during wedding and celebration seasons.
We are proud of our strong local ties and reputation for delivering both high-end events and a warm, welcoming pub experience that keeps people coming back.
The Role
We’re seeking an experienced and versatile Restaurant Manager with a passion for weddings and events to join our leadership team. This is a dual-role position, ideal for someone who thrives under pressure, leads confidently from the floor, and embraces the dynamic rhythm of a venue with seasonal intensity.
This is primarily an operational role—not a sales or planning position—but you will work closely with our coordination team to deliver exceptional weddings and events. Training and development will be provided to build your skills toward becoming a key onsite contact for our couples, working alongside our Wedding and Event Operations Manager and under the guidance of our Group Sales Manager, who maintains a hands-on role.
You’ll play a key role in the daily operations of our restaurant, particularly during our busiest periods: long weekends, school holidays, and summer.
