The Role

We are seeking an experienced Events and Restaurant Manager to join our dynamic team at the Queens Hotel Gladstone. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for overseeing the seamless execution of all events and the day-to-day management of our renowned restaurant. Your strategic leadership and exceptional customer service will be instrumental in driving the success of our hospitality operations.

Key Responsibilities

Manage the planning, coordination, and delivery of a diverse range of events, including corporate functions, weddings, and social gatherings, featuring our brand new Lux Activation Space

Oversee the running of our restaurant, ensuring high standards of food, service, and ambiance

Develop and implement effective processes and procedures to maximise efficiency and customer satisfaction

Manage, motivate, and develop a team of passionate hospitality professionals

Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and the local community

Monitor and analyse key performance indicators to identify opportunities for improvement

Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and licensing regulations

What We're Looking For

Proven experience in a similar events and restaurant management role, ideally within the hospitality industry

Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service

Proficient in event planning, including budget management, resource allocation, and problem-solving

Thorough understanding of food and beverage operations, including inventory control and cost management

Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and thrive under pressure

Relevant qualifications in hospitality management or a related field would be highly desirable
