What’s involved

As the Assistant Restaurant Manager, you will assist in overseeing the daily operations of our restaurant, ensuring that we provide a high level of service to our guests. You will play a vital role in managing staff, inventory, customer satisfaction, and assisting with financial management. You will work closely with the Restaurant Manager to maintain a positive and efficient work environment.

Key Responsibilities

Assist the Restaurant Manager in managing all aspects of restaurant operations, including team management, customer service, and inventory control.

Train, mentor, and lead the team.

Assist in training new enthusiasts and providing ongoing training for existing enthusiasts.

Handle customer complaints and resolve issues professionally and promptly.

Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

Oversee inventory management and place orders as needed.

Assist in monitoring financial performance, including budgeting, cost control, and revenue generation.

Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.

Assist with scheduling and payroll.

Support the Restaurant Manager in creating and implementing promotional strategies.

Help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for both customers and the team.

What’s Required

Previous experience in a supervisory or managerial role in a restaurant setting (1-3 years preferred).

Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills.

Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Strong knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and restaurant operations.

Proficient in point-of-sale (POS) systems and Microsoft Office.

A passion for great food, hospitality, and customer service.

Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Hold a current Responsible Service of Alcohol certificate (RSA).

Hold a current Food Safety Supervisor certificate or are willing to undertake.
