Our client has established itself in its niche market for many years, with offices across Australia. They are now looking for a capable person to follow up on outstanding invoices ranging in value from $500 upwards.
About the role

This part-time Debtor Collections role with our client in North Willoughby. You will be responsible for working as part of the company's customer service team, which will focus on debt collection activities.
The majority of collections involve 'soft' calling and continuing to build customer relationships.

Part-time hours / days with much flexibility, equal to a three day week. (School hours x 5 days or 3 full days)

What you'll be doing

Making outbound calls to customers with outstanding debts to negotiate repayment plans and settle accounts

Maintaining detailed records of all customer interactions and updates to account status

Providing excellent customer service and identifying any opportunities to retain or regain customers

Contributing to the continuous improvement of collections processes and procedures

What we're looking for:

Proven experience in a collections or customer service role

Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills to effectively work with customers on outstanding debts

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to adapt your style to different customer needs

A positive, persistent and empathetic approach when handling sensitive financial matters

Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate records
