Your new role

In your new role as an Operations Coordinator, you will play a crucial and pivotal role in ensuring the smooth functioning of the organisation's daily operations. You will report directly to the Operations Manager and work alongside the operations team on a daily basis.

• Support the team to ensure daily operations run smoothly, coordinating with team members and Control Tower Coordinators regarding essential shipments
• Leverage and utilise technology to enhance monitoring, management, and control of shipments as needed
• Collaborate with Logistics Service Providers, branches, and depots to arrange and coordinate shipment solutions
• Coordinating and dispatching drivers for collections and deliveries, ensuring timely adherence to client documentation and GDP requirements
• Coordinating with a regulatory team to ensure trade compliance for all import and export shipments
• Booking shipments with airlines and integrators to secure the best routing solution for shipments
• Label and prepare shipments for export, ensuring drivers are dispatched to meet airline cut-off times for international shipments.
• Escalate any issues or delays to the management team

What you'll need to succeed

To be considered for this role, you will be a reliable, dedicated professional with at least 2+ years' experience in a similar role within Pharmaceutical Logistics.

• PC/System literate
• Good knowledge of Excel & Word
• Strong professional telephone manner
• Excellent communication skills
• Experience in the courier or freight industry
