The Role

Similar to a Project Coordinator, an ASD Operations Coordinator plays an important role in supporting CIOTE to plan, scope, and deliver various types of engagements whilst helping to drive real and meaningful change in the security of Australia’s CI.

In this role, you will use your operations / project coordination and stakeholder engagement skills to support the CI-UP initiative that assists Australian CI to improve their resilience against cyber-attacks.

Key aspects of this role include:

  • Working jointly with Operations Managers and Technical Leads to assist in planning uplift engagements and operations.
  • Proactively tracking and managing costs incurred during the planning and delivery phases of a CI-UP engagement.
  • Assist in developing new (or updating existing) SOP’s to enable a standardised approach to CI-UP delivery.
  • Assist CIOTE’s contractor workforce with timely review of timesheets alongside assisting with procurement activities in support of CI-UP as required.
  • Proactively work with Operations Managers (and other Operations Coordinators) to coordinate uplift and operational logistics including travel planning, acquisition of personal protective equipment, meetings with ASD Partners, and other activities as required.
  • Developing positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders (including ASD Partners), with a focus on tailored communication to build trust.
  • Working with the CI-UP team to prioritise activities, track milestones, and assist other operational coordinators.
  • You will have the opportunity to strengthen your ability to work on complex operations whilst enhancing your stakeholder management skills.

About our Team

The Critical Infrastructure Operational Technology Environments (CIOTE) team is a highly focused and capable team responsible for enhancing cyber security resilience for critical infrastructure (CI) around Australia, with a strong focus on operational technology.

The ACSC achieves this through the Critical Infrastructure Uplift Program (CI-UP), a key initiative of CIOTE. Through CI-UP, CIOTE delivers a holistic range of services to Australian CI organisations including cyber uplift evaluations, technical workshops, OT information exchanges, and post-evaluation aftercare and support.

An ASD Operations Coordinator is a key team member and possesses skills such as:

  • Meticulous attention to detail; takes personal responsibility for accurate completion of work within timeframes and quality requirements
