The Operations Coordinator will play a key role in managing freight operations and client relationships.
Role Overview
The Operations Coordinator role combines customer service and operational experience in a critical support role.
This position will ensure the smooth and efficient operation of freight activities, focusing on key accounts. Working with transport providers, customers, and internal teams, it will manage the day-to-day coordination of freight jobs, address operational issues and ensure on-time delivery.

Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate the implementation and daily management of new key accounts.
- Resolve operational issues in collaboration with transport providers, customers and internal teams to ensure smooth transportation.
- Update and maintain accurate information in systems.
- Monitor freight jobs to ensure on-time delivery and resolve issues as they arise.
- Process and approve invoices promptly.
- Provide regular updates to customers and internal teams on job statuses.
- Participate in contract review meetings.
- Foster strong relationships with customers and transport providers to ensure exceptional service.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives aimed at boosting efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- Handle general administrative tasks as required.
Qualifications and Experience
- At least 3 years of experience in domestic freight/logistics operations.
- Experience in account coordination/management is desirable.
- Proven ability to build strong customer relationships.
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Sales experience is a plus but not essential.
- Familiarity with customer relationship management (CRM) systems is beneficial, but not mandatory.
