About the role

As a Program Facilitator, you will plan, deliver, and evaluate programs that support children and young people with a care experience. You’ll work face-to-face and online, with occasional regional travel, to ensure young people across Western Australia can access our programs.

In this role, you’ll:

Facilitate in-person and online programs and activities for children and young people.

Build strong connections with young people through face-to-face engagement, social media, email, and phone communication.

Collect and report evaluations from participants to measure program impact.

Maintain accurate records in our database, including participation details and returned mail management.

Engage with the child protection sector (government, caseworkers, NGOs) to promote membership and program participation.

Support Young Consultants in leadership and advocacy opportunities.

Assist with general office administration, including data collection, event RSVPs, and mail-outs.

About you

You’re creative, engaging, and passionate about working with children and young people. You thrive in a dynamic environment, love facilitating programs, and are committed to making a positive impact. With strong communication skills and a trauma-informed approach, you’re ready to connect, empower, and inspire young people with a care experience. You have:

A tertiary qualification in Social Science, Event Management, Human Services, Psychology, Sociology, Communications, or a related field, plus at least one year of experience in an NGO.

An understanding of trauma-informed practice and the National Child Safe Standards.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including conflict resolution and problem-solving.

Excellent IT literacy and database management skills.

The ability to work respectfully with First Nations communities and within a culturally safe framework.

Experience in planning and delivering workshops and events for young people.

Strong time management and organisational skills, with the ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
