AIE Institute is a non-profit higher education provider specialising in digital games and interactive entertainment. Our bachelor’s degree of game development integrates three game development sub-disciplines of game programming, game art and game design within a multi-disciplinary environment. The degree has a strong technical, practical and career focus, delivered by highly qualified and industry experienced academic staff in a creatively demanding studio environment across our Adelaide, Canberra, Melbourne and Sydney campuses.
The position of Tutor is to assist in the delivery of a high-quality Programming curriculum to AIE Institute students plus liaise with other teaching staff. This position is responsible for helping students learn and understand new concepts and provide assistance both in individual and group settings. You will provide feedback to both the lecturer/s as well as the Academic Director when requested as to the students’ progress and any concerns you may have.

Essential
- Graduate qualification in the discipline area or closely related field
- Detailed, practical, up-to-date knowledge of C++ and C# for game programming and the application of middleware.
- Proven ability to provide high quality teaching at undergraduate level, with a sound understanding of current issues in the discipline area
- Proven track record of scholarly activities, publishing history or research
- Demonstrated ability to work in a cross-disciplinary team
- Experience in academic administration and willingness to support students
- Proven track record in establishing and maintaining external relationships with industry or professional associations
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment, and to work autonomously
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Desirable
- Experience in various modes of teaching delivery
- Experience in curriculum design and review
- Experience as a professional in the area
- Experience in governance committees.
