The Role

Key responsibilities include:

• Security Operations & Threat Monitoring: Oversee threat detection, incident response, and risk reduction while maintaining a network-wide security view and tracking key risk indicators

• Governance & Vendor Management: Manage relationships with providers and external testing partners, ensuring effective service delivery and risk posture improvement

• Identity & Infrastructure Security: Lead Identity and Access Management (IAM) and Privileged Access Management (PAM) functions, manage cyber infrastructure, and support log monitoring to enhance threat detection

• Threat Intelligence & Compliance: Analyse threat intelligence, ensure compliance with frameworks and maintain security documentation

• Incident Response & Resilience: Lead cybersecurity efforts in Disaster Recovery (DR) and Business Continuity Planning (BCP), manage incidents, and drive post-incident reviews for continuous improvement

• Reporting & Continuous Improvement: Participate in exercises, contribute technical expertise, and promote a culture of learning and operational enhancement

The Ideal Person

You’re an experienced cyber security professional with a strong background in IT and leadership. You bring a tertiary qualification in IT or Cyber Security (or commensurate training) and possess over 10 years’ experience in the field including in an enterprise level Cyber Security Operations Centre.

You have a proven track record of leading high-performing teams, with the ability to align team goals to broader organisational objectives. Your leadership style supports collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Your experience includes managing outsourced ICT service providers, where you’ve ensured service delivery meets expectations while fostering strong vendor relationships. You’re confident navigating complex business environments, particularly where IT system ownership and responsibilities are spread across various stakeholders.

Salary / Rate

The salary band starts at $182,054 + 15% Super.
