A leading Australian organisation is seeking an experienced Lead Solutions Design / Data Lead to join their high-performing team.
This is a critical, full-time role supporting a major enterprise-wide data modernisation programme that will underpin future innovation, decision-making, and operational excellence.

The successful candidate will bring strong solution design, data modelling, and modern engineering expertise, with deep experience in platforms such as Snowflake.
Working in a hybrid model, they will collaborate closely with stakeholders across data, technology, and business units to deliver scalable, modern, cloud-first data solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the design and architecture of enterprise data solutions aligned to modern best practices

Deliver high-quality, scalable data models (both 3NF and dimensional) to support diverse business needs

Drive the adoption and best practice usage of Snowflake and related cloud data technologies

Champion modern engineering practices including CI/CD, DevOps for data, and code-first approaches

Guide and mentor a skilled team of data engineers and modelers, fostering capability uplift across the program

Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to ensure alignment to enterprise architecture and strategic objectives

Translate complex business requirements into robust, actionable solution designs

Ideal Candidate Profile:

Extensive experience leading solution design and delivery across large, complex data environments

Expertise in Snowflake and cloud-native data architectures

Deep data modelling experience across operational (3NF) and analytical (dimensional/star schema) domains

Strong technical background in SQL, data pipelines, integration patterns, and cloud engineering

Proven leadership experience in data programs, with the ability to mentor and influence across teams

Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage technical and business stakeholders

Passion for modern engineering practices and a continuous improvement mindset

Desirable Skills:

Experience with data transformation and orchestration tools (e.g., dbt, Fivetran, Matillion)

Knowledge of data governance, data quality, and security frameworks

Familiarity with cloud ecosystems such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
