About the role
This is an exciting opportunity to join Lallemand Australia as a Finance Manager, based in our Maroochydore office in Queensland. As the senior member of the local finance team, you will be responsible for all financial aspects of the businesses in Australia, New Zealand and Indonesia, while working within the broader Lallemand group guidelines.

What you'll be doing

Manage or oversee the full accounting cycle, including invoicing, accounts payable and receivable, payroll, financial reporting and all compliance activities

Prepare monthly management accounts for head office and reports for local management

Prepare annual general purpose financial statements for external stakeholders

Oversee the company's budget process and provide financial analysis to support decision-making

Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards as well as corporate and tax laws and regulations

Document, implement and monitor appropriate internal controls in line with the Company's internal control framework

Manage and mentor the small finance team, providing guidance and support to drive continuous improvement

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and support business objectives

We're looking for someone who:

Has a degree in Accounting

Is a member of CA or CPA, or working towards

Has experience in a management level accounting role

Has a strong understanding of financial reporting, budgeting, and internal controls

Has excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and provide insights

Is proficient in the use of Microsoft Office suite, specifically high-intermediate knowledge of Excel is a must

Is adaptable to different software environments and working with their various pros and cons

Is highly deadline motivated

Has pride in "knowing the numbers" in depth

Has strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with various internal and external stakeholders
