Role Overview:
As the Assistant Venue Manager, you will be an integral part of the team, working alongside the Venue Managers to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of both restaurants. This hands-on role requires a passion for fine dining, leadership skills, and the ability to create a memorable experience for every guest.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the daily management and operation of both Ministry of Crab Melbourne and Restaurant II.II.VI.
Lead and support front-of-house staff, ensuring exceptional guest service at all times.
Play a key role in training, developing, and motivating the team to maintain the highest standards of service.
Manage guest reservations, handle inquiries, and resolve any issues with professionalism and efficiency.
Monitor inventory levels and ensure stock control procedures are adhered to.
Work closely with kitchen and bar staff to ensure seamless communication and service delivery.
Assist with financial tasks, including budgeting, stock control, and managing operational costs.
Contribute to the creation of a positive work culture that promotes collaboration, professionalism, and staff retention.
Skills & Experience:
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role or fine dining experience.
Strong leadership and team management skills with a hands-on approach.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with both staff and guests.
A passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences and maintaining high service standards.
Outstanding organizational skills and the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Familiarity with restaurant management systems, POS, and reservation software.
Strong financial acumen, including experience with budgeting and cost control.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required.
