Our Client is a well-established market leader in the pump and water industry. With decades of experience, we are a major force in the sales, distribution, and manufacture of one of the widest ranges of pumping equipment across Australia.
They serve a diverse customer base across the industrial, mining, commercial, and fire protection sectors. With offices in Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne, Launceston, Perth, and Mackay, they offer end-to-end support to clients nationwide.
Their dedicated Service Division supports our product range with a team of highly skilled technicians, providing expert troubleshooting, repair, and commissioning—both in-house and onsite.
Due to continuous growth, they now seek a hands-on, motivated individual to lead and grow their Service Division team in Victoria.
About the role
Reporting to the National Service Manager, this dynamic role is based in Melbourne’s south eastern suburbs. You will be responsible for managing and expanding a team of service technicians and administrators, driving service sales (both workshop and onsite), and providing support and leadership to your team in the field.

Key Responsibilities:
- Promote service offerings and secure ongoing maintenance contracts
- Lead, mentor, and grow a team of service technicians
- Deliver technical, product, and sales support to clients
- Prepare accurate service estimates, quotations, and bills of material
- Achieve service revenue and growth targets
- Coordinate with clients, suppliers, contractors, and internal departments
- Support sales and project managers with technical product information
- Provide onsite solutions and hands-on support in Commercial Building and Construction environments
- Ensure preparation of required documentation, including SWMS and service reports
- Adhere to company safety and quality policies

As the ideal candidate and to make the transition as smooth as possible, you will possess the following key attributes:
- Proven experience in service team leadership and business development
- Strong background in Key Account Management, with the ability to build and maintain client relationships
- Sound Mechanical Aptitude
- Sound knowledge of pump systems: pressure boosting, rainwater filtration, stormwater and sewage pumps
- Experience with fire pumps, electric motors, diesel engines, and commercial building services is highly regarded
- Excellent estimation and quoting skills
- Competent with Microsoft Office and service management tools
- Strong planning and time management abilities
- Physically fit, safety-conscious, and WHSE compliant
Licences & Certifications:
- Australian Driver’s Licence (required)
- Construction Induction White Card (preferred)
- Working with Children Check (preferred)
- Disconnect/Reconnect Licence and Confined Space Certification (highly regarded)
