Are you a natural dealmaker? Do you get a buzz from spotting an opportunity, cutting a sharp deal, and watching it fly off the shelves? Ten Tops is looking for a street-smart, value-hunting, trade-driven Buyer to join our team and support General Merchandise buying across our national store network.

We’re not just looking for a buyer—we want a trader. Someone who knows how to hustle, negotiate hard, and close deals that deliver unbeatable value to our customers.

What you'll be doing:

-Scouting and securing killer deals across General Merchandise—from core everyday lines to opportunistic overstock buys

-Building and maintaining a tight network of local and overseas suppliers you can call anytime for a deal

-Snapping up clearance, liquidations, and overstock opportunities—especially from Australia & China, but anywhere value hides

-Playing a hands-on role in strategic buying decisions, directly impacting our bottom line

-Collaborating with Buying, Transport, and Ops teams to move fast and deliver faster

We want someone who:

- Thinks like a trader—not just a buyer

- Has solid experience in discount retail or general merchandise procurement

- Comes with an active book of supplier contacts—especially in the clearance and overstock space

- Has connections in China (a must) and India (a bonus)

- Is proactive, resourceful, and loves the thrill of a great deal
