About the Role:

As a Category Buyer (Fruit) based in our CanningVale office/warehouse, you will source, procure and focus on fresh purchasing requirements but across other categories (milk, packaging etc) for the Western Australian business.

A critical role in our national team, our Category Buyer concentrating on fruit is the first point of contact for the operations in Canningvale. You will play a pivotal role in connecting with suppliers and key internal stakeholders. Your market buying experience with fruit as your focus is a must have. Then there is a requirement for this role to also be hands on during warehouse operations assisting with smooth flow of packing and pack lines.

Collaborate with our dynamic team to create and implement innovative strategies that drive budgets into actionable plans that inspire growth.

Your fresh ideas will help streamline processes and foster a collaborative environment that thrives on adaptability.

What is in your Toolkit?

Experience (at lease 3 years) with market buying experience – fruit.

Experience within a FMCG environment

Comfortable building and maintaining an effective relationship, through exceptional communication and engagement

Comfortable working within a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Being agile and adaptable is a key to success!

A whiz with Microsoft Excel (we are talking VLOOKUP and pivot tables, not SUM and Average)

Tech savvy and able to use various IT and cloud-based tools to improve efficiency and productivity.

Ready to challenge, be challenged and work within a fast-paced environment.

A strong numerical and data aptitude that helps you shine in reporting

Excellent interpersonal skills that make you a go-to person for stakeholder management

Problem-solving prowess and a proactive attitude that sets you apart.
