About the Company
We are currently working with a number of leading civil engineering and infrastructure organisations to support the future of their Health, Safety and Environment teams. As demand continues to grow, we are seeking expressions of interest from Health and Safety Managers, looking for their next opportunity.
About the Role
Across the varying Health and Safety Manager EOIs, responsibilities include developing and refining health and safety policies tailored to large-scale, complex projects, driving implementation and engagement across sites while fostering a strong safety culture. Whether your strengths lie in hands-on implementation or strategic policy development, we are keen to hear from professionals across the spectrum.
Duties
- Work closely with senior stakeholders, project directors, and managers to identify gaps between the corporate HSE systems and major project needs.
- Develop and implement major project-specific safety procedures and improvement initiatives.
- Align safety management systems with the unique risks and delivery challenges of complex infrastructure builds.
- Lead and participate in safety initiatives and industry forums.
- Ensure regulatory and contractual compliance across projects while championing proactive safety practices.
- Influence cultural change and promote safety leadership across all levels of project teams.
Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in health and safety leadership within major infrastructure, civil engineering, energy, or related environments.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across large and complex project teams.
- Tertiary qualifications in Occupational Health and Safety (minimum post-graduate diploma).
- Project management qualifications and experience managing safety improvement initiatives highly desirable.
- A strategic thinker who can balance policy development with hands-on implementation.
