Are you an experienced electrical-mechanical professional looking for a leadership role in water infrastructure? This is your chance to make a difference! We're looking for a proactive Electrical-Mechanical Supervisor to supervise and maintain our water network facilities, ensuring reliable water services for the community. This is a permanent full-time position, working a 9-day fortnight based in Mackay.

About this opportunity:

Mackay Regional council is seeking a skilled and experienced Electrical-Mechanical Supervisor to oversee the maintenance and operation of our Water Network infrastructure. This is a key role in ensuring the reliable delivery of water services to our community through the efficient functioning of pumping stations, treatment plants, and distribution networks.

Special Requirements:

  • Includes a rostered work and on call requirement.
  • Some out of hours work and domestic travel is expected

Essential Qualifications, Experience & Skills:

  • Trade qualifications in electrical or mechanical field; OR
  • Lesser formal qualifications together with acquisition of considerable skills and extensive and diverse experience relative to an equivalent standard; OR
  • A combination of experience, expertise and competence sufficient to perform the duties of the position.
  • QLD "C" class Driver's Licence or interstate equivalent.
  • General Construction Safety "White Card".
  • QLD Medium Rigid (MR) class Driver's License.
  • Leadership of multi-disciplinary teams in the water industry, managing projects, schedules, and technical priorities.
  • Policy and procedure development experience.
  • Strong stakeholder management with consultants, contractors, and suppliers.
  • Operational oversight of works programs.
