Are you a seasoned Procurement Officer looking for a dynamic opportunity to make a substantial impact? Do you possess exceptional communication and negotiation skills, and thrive in optimising purchasing power while maintaining compliance with policies and regulations? This is a Temporary full-time parental leave coverage opportunity until March 2026.

About this opportunity:

As a Procurement Officer, you'll play a pivotal role in supporting our organisation's goals by facilitating procurement activities, providing specialist advice to both internal stakeholders and suppliers. Your objective will be to enhance Council's purchasing power, build strong customer relationships, and ensure continuity in service provision while strictly adhering to procurement policies, procedures, and relevant legislation.

Essential Qualifications, Experience & Skills:

  • Sound level experience using procurement Enterprise Systems e.g. SAP, Finance One, CiAnywhere.
  • Experience in procurement operations in Government, private sector or other multi-industry organisations.
  • Ability to facilitate effective collaborative relationships with internal and external customers.
