We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Inventory Manager to join our Inventory team.
ABOUT THE ROLE
You will report to the Operations Manager where your duties will include:
Manage & maintain inventory levels & inventory movements across both manufacturing and warehouse functions
Work within Lean inventory frameworks in working towards a JIT a methodology across all inventory areas.
Manage and reduce inventory turn ratios in-line with set targets
Coordinate & perform periodical cycle counts and stocktakes to maintain inventory accuracy
Work in conjunction with planning and purchasing teams to ensure appropriate and timely levels of inventory, limiting excess ordering.
Proactively flag potential shortages and stock outs
Identify, monitor & effectively manage slow moving and obsolete inventory
Manage & coordinate daily manufacturing parts replenishment, stock transfers, and write-off requests.
Forecast & report on inventory values based on delivery schedules and consumption rates
Provide inventory reporting for senior management
Work closely with planning & purchasing teams ensuring production materials are made available in time per production schedules
Provide accurate in-stock dates for finished goods and expected date of delivery for raw materials
Review, approve or escalate stock write off requests.
Liaise with local & global subsidiary teams regarding availability of raw materials & finished goods
Work closely with Quality Assurance and Engineering teams, with respect to managing non-conforming inventory, manage corrective actions across affected inventory.
Proactively seeking areas to reduce waste and improve operational efficiencies, and identify areas of improvement
Experience working with Netsuite or similar
ABOUT YOU
3+ years’ experience in a similar role
Accredited training in inventory management or related field
Experience working in a manufacturing environment
Excellent organisation and planning skills
A high level of accuracy and attention to detail
Reliable, punctual, team player
High level of communication skills both written and verbal
Self-Motivated and displays initiative
Knowledge of international procurement including logistics and vendor/supplier issues
Strong communication skills
Proficient in computer-based programs - Microsoft Office Suite
Knowledge of Netsuite - preferred
Ability to identify and respond quickly to situations and provide solutions.
Ability to lead and manage teams of people.
Strong negotiating, communication, influencing and creative problem-solving skills
