Position: Casual Disability Support Worker

Locations: Doncaster, Heidelberg, Lower Templestowe, Reservoir (Eastern Melbourne)

Rates:

- Weekday: $38+ per hour

- Saturday: $50+ per hour

- Sunday: $70+ per hour

- Reimbursement travel on the job $1 per km

At Hip Healthy Happy (H.H.H.), we are a growing disability support provider dedicated to improving the lives of children and young adults with autism and other disabilities. We are currently seeking experienced and committed Disability Support Workers for long-term roles with career growth potential.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide direct support to clients with autism and other disabilities, including those with behavioural challenges
- Support community access and participation: walking in the park, visiting shopping centres, having meals, attending trampoline parks, medical appointments, or drop-offs/pickups from school or daycare
- Promote independence, well-being, and social connection
- Respond calmly to behaviours of concern when required (training provided)

Who We’re Looking For

- Previous experience supporting individuals with autism and/or behaviours of concern
- Calm, emotionally mature, and reliable
- Committed to long-term work and aligned with trauma-informed and person-centred values
- Open to learning and growing within a supportive team

Client Needs

Not all of our clients exhibit challenging behaviour, but some do. You will be expected to work with a variety of participants, including those with physical or emotional outbursts. To prepare you, we provide ongoing mentorship from senior and fellow staff.

Mandatory Requirements

- Working with Children Check
- First Aid and CPR Certification
- Valid Driver’s Licence and reliable transport
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
