We're looking for a Human Resource Officer to join our team at JCUVet. This is a fulltime role that will suit someone who has been out of university for a couple of years and is capable of developing as a HR generalist. You will be working in a high end clinical and professional environment providing essential support to our Business Manager and management team. JCUVet has around 90 employees and is both a commercial and academic organisation with strong links to James Cook University.

What You Will Do:

This is a generalist role. You will do a bit of everything from the basics of recruitment, contracts, onboarding, policies development, HRIS, employee relations, workforce planning and strategy, remuneration, record keeping etc. You will receive support from within the management team and an external HR consultant.

Who You Are:

Qualified: You have qualifications in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or you are working towards one. Experience in HR is essential.

Experience: A professional services or small/medium private business background will be highly regarded.

Skilled Communicator: Your excellent communication skills make you effective in employee relations and team collaboration.

Discreet: You understand the importance of handling sensitive information with the utmost confidentiality.

Organised: Your organisational skills enable you to juggle multiple tasks efficiently.

Tech-Savvy: Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite is essential.
