Legal Contracts Manager – Renewable Energy

The Role
As Contract Manager, you will support the business by overseeing contract administration for existing projects while leading the origination and negotiation of new large-scale agreements. Working closely with internal and external stakeholders, your focus will be on ensuring strong commercial outcomes, managing risk and facilitating smooth project execution. Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading the negotiation and execution of major contracts such as EPC agreements for renewable energy projects
• Supporting project teams across engineering, legal and finance to structure effective commercial arrangements
• Managing a suite of smaller consultancy and service contracts, including renewals and performance monitoring
• Maintaining accurate contract records and tracking key milestones
• Resolving contractual issues and proactively identifying and mitigating potential risks
• Advising internal stakeholders and executive leadership on contract status and performance
• Ensuring all contracts comply with procurement policies and relevant legal frameworks

This is a hands-on role that sits across the business and plays a key part in the successful delivery of critical energy infrastructure.

What You Need
To succeed in this position, you will bring:

• A strong background in contract management, legal advisory or procurement roles
• Experience with both large-scale infrastructure contracts and smaller consultancy agreements
• The ability to liaise effectively with legal teams, consultants, engineers and commercial departments
• Familiarity with Australian contract law and regulatory compliance
• Experience in the renewable energy sector (solar or battery storage) is highly desirable
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities across multiple projects
• Mandarin language skills highly regarded
