Commercial and Contracts Manager
This role is responsible for strategic contract management of relevant Horizon Power contracts, ensuring strong relationships with key stakeholders are maintained and contractual obligations are performed by all related parties.

Additionally, the position ensures commerciality is maintained and positive commercial outcomes are achieved for Horizon Power through administration of relevant contracts and commercial analytics of key costs and revenue streams within the Remote Operations group.

Your role will include:

  • Leading and implementing contract management approaches to maximize value and mitigate risks.
  • Managing all contract obligations and counterparty disputes related to remote operations' contracts.
  • Provide commercial insights and strategic guidance to peers and managers, ensuring thorough analysis of contract and project outcomes.
  • Enhance financial performance thorough sound analysis and providing actionable insights on capital prioritisation, financial evaluations and investment decisions to Remote Operations and other stakeholders.
  • Manage and enhance the accuracy and timeliness of monthly performance reporting to support informed decision-making.
  • Formulate and lead the execution of strategies to optimise contract-related costs while ensuring Horizon Power's obligations and electricity supply commitments are met.
  • Foster a culture of high performance and continuous improvement by leading and mentoring direct reports.

You will have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Commerce, Accounting, Law or related discipline are mandatory
  • Extensive on-the-job experience in contract, commercial or finance management
  • Demonstrated experience in managing large multi-year contracts
  • Significant experience and proven track record of developing and implementing contract management strategies and policies
  • Advanced ability to negotiate contracts and legal agreements, and undertake procurement processes
  • Advanced technical knowledge and competence in contract management processes and systems
