Experiencing significant growth, this is a newly created position, an exciting opportunity for a driven and enthusiastic Contracts Manager to step into a dynamic role, working at the heart of a thriving national business.
About the Role:
Reporting directly to the CEO and working closely with experienced Project Managers, you’ll be responsible for managing existing and new contracts across all entities within the business nationally.
You’ll play a pivotal role in negotiating, reviewing, and managing contracts, ensuring commercial outcomes are achieved while mitigating contractual risk. This role combines strategic thinking with a hands-on approach and is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead contract negotiation, preparation, execution, and management across all business units
Act as the central point of contact for all internal and external contractual matters
Identify, manage, and mitigate contractual and commercial risks
Interpret project scopes, ensuring deadlines and budgets are met
Oversee contractual compliance and support the resolution of disputes
Attend monthly site meetings and liaise regularly with project stakeholders
Support project managers in subcontractor and supplier payment processes
Conduct progress claim reviews and project cost analysis
Maintain detailed variation registers and documentation
Continuously improve contract processes and systems
Ensure quality, accuracy, and attention to detail in all contractual matters
About You:
Proven experience / tertiary qualification in commercial contract management, legal, or compliance roles
Strong understanding of contract law principles, including negotiation of commercial terms
Familiarity with Microsoft Project, Excel, or similar construction software (advantageous)
Commercial mindset, ability to balance risk and opportunity in contract negotiations
Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with an ability to influence outcomes
High attention to detail and a structured approach to contract management and governance
Driven, positive, and passionate about contributing to a high-performing team
