Carpet Court is seeking a new sales team member to join our showroom!

Experience within the flooring industry or construction related industry is of high preference.

Ideal candidates would include those that have previously worked in the home improvement or construction industry within sales or estimating roles within a showroom capacity or on the road quoting.

Your key responsibilities will be customer service within the showroom, offsite measures & finalising of customer quotations.

The ability to draw and read floorplans as well as measure homes onsite will be a daily requirement of the role. Initially, training of products within the showroom to facilitate customer enquiry will be the main role.

An established network of contacts is desired.

The role requires a team player. You will work closely with a small team, however you will be provided the opportunity and responsibility to manage your own jobs, subcontractors and client relationships.

Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Customer service - Daily requirement
• Ability to generate and build rapport, assisting in maintaining a strong reputation to ensure repeat and referral business
• Assist with the day to day operations of the showroom & customer enquiry
• Provide knowledgeable advice about the flooring products available
• Ability to read plans and drawings to determine scope of works and complete estimates
• Ability to measure on sites
• Competent to advanced computer skills particularly Excel spread sheets Microsoft Word, Outlook and Dropbox
• Ability to communicate with suppliers, contractors and customers/clients

Desired Experience

• General flooring knowledge, including, but not limited to, carpet and hard flooring products both residential and commercial
• Understanding sub-floor requirements for flooring installations

The role can at times be fast paced & faces the day to day problematic situations of home renovation works.
