We provide a unique and personalised shopping experience, guiding customers in selecting rugs that complement their spaces. As our business continues to grow, we are looking for a Retail Assistant who is passionate about customer service and hands-on showroom operations, including deliveries and stock handling.

Key Responsibilities

1. Store Presentation & Operations

Maintain an elegant and visually appealing showroom that aligns with our luxury brand.

Rotate and display rugs seasonally, ensuring they are presented in the best possible way.

Assist with stock management, unpacking deliveries, and keeping records organised.

Keep the showroom clean, inviting, and reflective of a premium retail experience.

2. Deliveries & Physical Handling

Lift, transport, and place large rugs in clients’ homes and businesses with care and precision.

Ensure rugs are handled safely during transportation to maintain their pristine condition.

Physically fit and comfortable with frequent lifting and carrying as part of daily tasks.

Operate delivery vehicles (if required) and provide a professional delivery experience.

3. Retail & Customer Engagement

Welcome customers warmly and provide tailored styling advice based on their space and preferences.

Explain the craftsmanship, quality, and unique design stories behind our luxury rug collections.

Assist customers in selecting the perfect rug for their home or business, including in-home consultations.

Develop and maintain strong client relationships, following up to enhance the customer experience.

Support interior designers, architects, and decorators in sourcing rugs for projects.

Who We’re Looking For

Valid driver’s license Fluent in both written and verbal English. A genuine passion for customer service and a teamwork
Preferable previous sales and customer service experience and skills within the retail industry
Physically capable of lifting and handling large rugs in-conjunction with other team members as part of deliveries and showroom maintenance.
A keen eye for aesthetics and showroom presentation, ensuring products are displayed beautifully.
Ability to work flexibly across multiple areas – sales, administration, customer service, stock handling, and deliveries.
Team-oriented mindset, adaptable in a family-run business environment. Availability to be rostered on one weekend day.
