As the subject matter expert for Employee Relations, you’ll work closely with operational leaders to resolve complex people matters, contribute to policy and strategy development, and play a pivotal role in shaping a compliant, values-led employee experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic and operational advice on complex employee and industrial relations issues across the business.
  • Support performance management, case management, conflict resolution and formal dispute processes including those before regulatory bodies.
  • Coach and guide managers in best practice people leadership and legislative compliance.
  • Partner with business units to identify workplace trends, risks and development needs, using data-driven insights to inform proactive solutions.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of ER policies, initiatives, and training programs.
  • Collaborate with Learning & Development and WHS teams on education, engagement and return-to-work strategies.
  • Play a key role in supporting organisational change, culture initiatives and workforce projects.

About You:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Employment Law or a related field.
  • 4+ years’ experience in an ER/IR role, with strong case management capability in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
  • Sound knowledge of relevant Australian employment legislation, Awards and National Employment Standards.
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships and influence across all levels of the organisation.
  • Excellent communication, conflict resolution and coaching skills.
  • Proven ability to manage competing priorities with professionalism and resilience.
  • Ability to obtain a Working with Children Check or equivalent (if required).

What’s On Offer:

  • Full-time 12 month FTC role with a supportive team and flexible work arrangements, including work-from-home one day per week.
  • Opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a values-based, people-focused organisation.
  • Broad national exposure with career development opportunities.
