About the role

You will play a pivotal role in supporting Cyient’s Wireless programme by supporting a team that maintains competitive estimates and quotations.

Duties and skills involved:

· Work directly with Client commercial / estimating team to secure and agree pricing of packages of work, to upgrade the Client network.

· Review RFQ responses from subcontractors and creation of quotations for cell site upgrades.

· Working with subcontractors to achieve the best cost base / margin.

· Maximize the potential revenue from each job by leveraging field knowledge and detailed understanding of the Client SoR.

· Updating the Cyient site tracker (MobiTrack) database with RFQ progress.

· Ensure accuracy of work to minimize margin erosion.

· Updating variations and pricing changes through Client systems such as PACA.

· Peer review RFQ produced by other team members.

· Manage internal approvals to meet submission timelines.

· Providing ongoing effective advice and support to internal and external stakeholders through the provision of timely technical advice on estimates and quotations.

· Overseeing and reporting on relevant estimating projects and/or programs providing information on volume, requests, clients, locations, acceptance rates, costs, schedule of rates, margins and productivity.

· Enhance partner relationships through effective communication, sound negotiation and the provision of timely, professional, and competitive quotations.

· Undertaking post completion reviews on construction, maintenance and upgrade projects and provide constructive feedback to management on pricing and improvement strategies.

· Identify and mitigate potential risks in contracts and project execution and highlight to wider team.

Additional requirements:

· Demonstrated experience in compiling complex estimates based upon the Client Schedule of Rates (SoR).

· Thorough working knowledge of Client telecommunications upgrades and construction, legislative and regulatory requirements, principles and practices and contract procedures.

· Strong experience in telecommunications estimating and the preparation of tenders (advantageous).

· Highly organized and accurate.

· Advanced computer skills in MS Word and Excel.
