About the role

As the Hire Controller at Kelm Hire, you will play a pivotal role in managing the inventory and logistics of a diverse range of equipment and machinery for our expanding business. This full-time position is based in West Melbourne, Victoria, and will see you work closely with our customers and operations team to ensure timely delivery and return, and of our hire assets.

What you'll be doing

Overseeing the end-to-end hire process, from order placement to equipment return

Coordinating the delivery and collection of hire equipment to and from customer sites

Maintaining detailed inventory records and monitoring stock levels to identify any shortages or surpluses

Providing exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving any issues promptly

Assisting with the planning and execution of equipment rotations and asset management strategies

What we're looking for

Proven experience in a similar hire, logistics, or inventory management role, preferably within the Hire, transport, or construction industries

Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to juggle multiple tasks and priorities

Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with both internal and external stakeholders

Proficient in using inventory management software and other relevant IT systems (MCS advantage)

A keen eye for detail and a problem-solving mindset to identify and address any issues efficiently

A valid driver's license
