Experienced NDIS Coordinator
Abilities NQ is seeking a dedicated, enthusiastic, and highly organised Experienced NDIS Coordinator to join our team in Townsville.
This role is full time - Monday to Friday 8:30am to 5pm with on-call roster requirement.
This key role ensures we deliver high-quality, person-centred services that support our clients in achieving their individual goals—enhancing their independence, community inclusion, and overall wellbeing. You’ll work closely with clients, families, and staff, while also fulfilling strategic and operational responsibilities to uphold service excellence.

Key Responsibilities:
Provide ongoing support and guidance to support staff and team leaders
Coordinate and facilitate regular team meetings
Ensure compliance in all SIL houses and adherence to NDIS standards
Maintain effective communication with all stakeholders
Manage monthly rosters for your assigned caseload
Monitor staff training and ensure it aligns with NDIS guidelines
Collaborate with the Endorsed Enrolled Nurse to ensure medication compliance
Identify and address training gaps within the team
Participate in the on-call roster
Build strong relationships with clients and families through excellent customer service
About You:
Essential:
Relevant qualifications in Disability Services (or willingness to obtain)
Previous experience in a coordination or team leader role
Strong understanding of the NDIS and its operational framework
Proven ability to supervise, manage performance, and lead teams
High-level communication, negotiation, and mediation skills
Ability to work autonomously under broad direction
Skills:
Exceptional communication, organisation, and time management
Ability to problem-solve and manage high-pressure situations
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Experience working with vulnerable people from diverse backgrounds
Commitment to empowering individuals and maintaining confidentiality
Mandatory Requirements:
Current First Aid & CPR Certification
NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (Yellow Card)
Working With Children Check (Blue Card)
Valid Driver’s Licence and access to a fully insured vehicle
Completion of the NDIS Worker Orientation Module
Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency
