Our client, a fast-growing IT services company, is looking for a Level 1 Engineer to provide first-level technical support to various clients in Australia. The role will primarily be a customer-facing position so a real “people person” personality is important.

Who Are We Looking For?

IT support isn’t just about providing technical support – it’s about ensuring smooth operations, and minimising downtime which is essential in maintaining business continuity. As the new Level 1 Engineer, you will take ownership of providing great first-level technical service and building lasting relationships with clients. Ideally, you’ll have:

Bachelor's Degree in IT-related field or a TAFE equivalent.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a bubbly personality.

Excellent work ethic and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Basic understanding of computer hardware, software, and networking concepts.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.

Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes.

Previous experience in a customer service or technical support role is a plus.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, your key responsibilities will include:

Provide first-level technical support to clients via phone, email, and on site.

Troubleshoot and resolve level 1 hardware, software, and network issues.

Assist with the setup, configuration, and maintenance of IT equipment.

Document and track issues using our ticketing system.

Collaborate with Level 2 and Level 3 engineers to escalate and resolve complex issues.

Maintain a positive and professional demeanor while interacting with clients and team members.

Participate in ongoing training and development to stay current with industry trends and technologies.
