At GCLA (Gladstone Community Linking Agency), we believe in building stronger communities by connecting people with the support they need. We’re on the lookout for an Administration Assistant who’s not just organised and efficient, but also creative and digitally savvy.
This role is ideal for someone who’s keen to get involved in community-focused work while flexing their skills in social media, website content management, and event support.
About the Role
As our new Administration Assistant, you’ll work closely with our communications and leadership teams to maintain GCLA’s online presence, support admin functions, and assist with community engagement activities.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain and update website content
Create, schedule and monitor social media content (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn)
Support marketing activities including flyers, newsletters and EDMs
Monitor analytics and provide basic reporting on digital engagement
Assist in coordinating community events and public engagement activities
Provide day-to-day administrative support (scheduling, data entry, inbox management)
About You
Strong written communication and content creation skills
Confident using social media tools (e.g. Meta Business Suite, Canva)
Website management experience (or willingness to learn)
Well-organised with attention to detail
Comfortable interacting with the public and supporting team events
Team player who can also work independently and take initiative
Essential:
Working with Children (Blue Card).
Working with Adults with Disability Card (Yellow Card) or NDIS Workers Screening Card/Check.
Desirable (not essential)
Experience in community services, NFP or allied health settings
Basic graphic design, photography or video editing skills
Understanding of inclusive and accessible communication
