Product & Service Designer

• 5 month contract covering parental leave
• Prime location in the CBD
• 2 days in office 3 days WFH

A leading utilities company based in the Perth CBD, who is in the process of undergoing a digital transformation.


The role:

Due to an upcoming period of parental leave, our client is looking for a human centred design focussed Product & Service designer to join the team for a 5 month parental leave contract.
This position will be working closely with the business to deeply understand user pain points and inefficiencies and create solutions by using design-thinking skillset.

Responsibilities:

• Design end-to-end experiences across the business’s suite of products and services
• Map complex journeys, identify pain points and create solutions
• Work collaboratively with engineers, researchers and business stakeholders to understand needs, goals and create effective solutions
• Turn insights into actionable design strategies and service blueprints.

Key experience:

• Strong experience in a UX or UX/UI design role, where you used best practice UX/UI frameworks to conduct user research, persona development, customer journey mapping, visualising user-experience flows and analysis of quantitative data to derive insights and opportunities to qualify priorities and impact.
• Experience with tools/technologies such as Miro, Mural and M365
• Very strong Stakeholder management skills, this role requires someone who enjoys working with the business to create solutions.

Desirable experience:

• Some experience with AI would be nice to have
