The Organisation:

This Government body works with people with disability, providers, and the community to deliver nationally consistent, responsive, and effective regulation of service providers. They seek to uphold the rights of, and promote the health, safety, and wellbeing of people with disability receiving supports or services.

The Role:

We are seeking two APS6 Service Designers to join the Business Architect Team. These roles are crucial in ensuring alignment and coordination within service design squads, supporting the team’s work in improving participant and staff experiences. This is an excellent opportunity for professionals who thrive in a dynamic, change-driven environment and are passionate about delivering impactful service design in the public sector.

Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

• Work alongside Service Designers and Service Design Leads to develop and maintain key service design artefacts (journey maps, personas, service blueprints).
• Facilitate workshops to identify pain points and co-create future service designs.
• Provide administrative support, including booking meetings, writing papers, content editing, and JIRA project coordination.
• Advocate for the voice and experiences of service users and stakeholders.
• Apply Design-Thinking methodologies to improve participant and staff experiences across a variety of services and channels.
• Ensure adherence to governance requirements within the Scheme Reform Program.

Key Skills and Experience:

• Proven experience working in multi-disciplinary, agile teams on large projects.
• Expertise in MS Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook) and digital design tools (Creately, Figma, Miro, Mural).
• Solid experience in service design, including developing service design artefacts such as journey maps, service blueprints, and personas.
• Strong communication and synthesis skills to solve complex problems.
• Ability to drive Human-Centred Design thinking and evaluate change impacts to stakeholders.
• Comfortable navigating ambiguity and working in a constantly evolving environment.
• Prior experience in providing administrative support, including coordinating meetings, content editing, and using project management tools such as JIRA.

Desirable:

• Knowledge and experience in the disability, social services, or public sector.
• Experience with SharePoint and JIRA (or similar tools).
