VEHICLE TRANSPORT OPERATIONS

Melcrest Auto Express is a key player in vehicle transport throughout Queensland and operating direct services to South Australia and Northern Territory. Vehicle movements involve new and used vehicles, fleet, rental cars government contracts and private customers.

Role

We are currently seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Transport Allocator to join our team in the vehicle transport sector of the industry. The position involves optimising fleet operations, allocate resources efficiently and drive company growth. This is a key role within the company and we are looking for someone who will be committed to this role with a professional positive attitude.

The position involves the following tasks

5 Day work week with weekend contact required to resolve driver issues if they arise.

Planning and implementing local/interstate pick ups and deliveries to our various customers

Planning maximum efficiency of assets and drivers and ability to think outside of the square.

Liaising with our customers, interstate depots and other team members to address issues

Communicate effectively with depot staff to create a safe and healthy working environment.

Actively participate in safety initiatives, control fleet inspection requirements/maintenance.

Qualifications

Must have a ‘can do’ positive attitude

Able to work autonomously.

Must have demonstrated experience in operations in the heavy vehicle industry

Ability to learn our software system

Strong communication skills (written and oral)
