Kaiama Japanese dining is a modern Japanese restaurant in the Hills area that offers high end Japanese dining service with sushi and sake bar.
We seek full-time qualified and experienced Japanese Chef at Sous Chef level to join our kitchen management team and take our business to the next level in kitchen operation, menu offering and style of service.
Skills & Experience
Trade qualification in commercial cookery
Minimum 2 years of experience in modern Japanese cuisine
Menu creation and costing experience
Ability to work under pressure
Microsoft Office proficient preferred
Tasks & responsibilities
Menu development utilising the seasonal produce available
Overseeing daily operation of the kitchen
Managing orders, food costs, labour cost, rostering
Training and supervising kitchen staff
Reporting to head chef/management
