About the Role

The Perishables/Duty Manager is responsible for managing all operations of the dairy and freezer sections of the store. This position is also responsible for all daily operations across the store (in the absence of the Store Manager), ensuring employee productivity, monitoring efficiency of all processes, ensuring high operational standards are maintained throughout the store and creating a positive workplace culture.

This position comprises of both morning and afternoon shifts.

About You

The Perishables/Duty Manager will possess excellent interpersonal skills and will maintain high standards of work under pressure.

Suitable candidates will have:

Previous experience working in a supermarket department manager position

Experience in fresh produce and grocery departments

Experience in stock ordering and inventory control

Experience in POS systems

Experience in managing people

A flare for merchandising

Availability to work mornings, afternoons and weekends

A passion for customer service

Enthusiasm for challenges, success and career progression
