Join a growing agency dedicated to making a real difference in the lives of South Australian children and young people by ensuring access to safe, high-quality education and early childhood services.

As a Senior Investigator, you will plan, coordinate, and lead investigations into high-risk providers and their staff. Key responsibilities will include:

  • Communicate with complainants, regulated parties, and stakeholders to manage and share information appropriately.
  • Prepare and sanitise materials for disclosure in line with legal requirements.
  • Provide high-level analysis and recommend proportionate regulatory responses that promote child safety and wellbeing.
  • Draft reports detailing legislative breaches and recommending appropriate sanctions, including prosecution.
  • Review and improve investigation processes and lead projects that enhance team effectiveness and support agency strategic goals.

To be considered you will be able to demonstrate the following skills and qualities:

  • Extensive experience developing and executing investigation plans, conducting formal interviews, collecting statements, and analysing evidence to identify non-compliance and recommend appropriate statutory sanctions.
  • Strong expertise in interpreting legislation, policy, and procedures, and exercising regulatory powers.
  • Proven ability to prepare high-quality reports, witness statements, interview records, and court briefs with sound recommendations, suitable for enforcement and prosecution, and capable of withstanding judicial scrutiny.
  • Demonstrated success in reviewing and enhancing investigation processes, and leading projects that drive operational improvements.
  • Hold qualifications in investigation, regulatory, compliance or equivalent experience
