Your contribution:
• Provide specialist advice and professional representation to external and internal clients on the requirements of the Aboriginal Land Act 1991 (Qld) and Corporations( Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander) Act 2006 (Cth) and related legislation, directives, policies and procedures in relation to the Program.
• Liaise and develop an effective network with Indigenous and non-Indigenous clients including land councils, government and non-government agencies, and local authorities on land related matters pertaining to the provisions of the Acts.
• Advise and support Aboriginal land trusts and corporations to develop and / or improve land management capability to ensure compliance with relevant legislation including land transfer processes relevant to the work of the Program.
• Co-ordinate and prioritise projects to ensure successful outcomes are achieved including convening Land Trust or Corporation meetings and drafting associated correspondence as required.
• Provide a broad variety of administrative tasks in supporting land holding entities, which includes organising land holding entity meetings, travel and catering arrangements, agenda development, completion of meeting minutes and meeting facilitation, rule book amendments and reporting requirements.

About you
• Demonstrated knowledge of, or the ability to rapidly acquire knowledge of the Aboriginal Land Act 1991 (Qld) and Corporations (Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander) Act 2006 (Cth) and associated legislation, and ability to provide guidance and recommendation on their interpretation.
• Demonstrated high level oral and written communication skills including the ability to effectively liaise with First Nations people, internal and external clients, and drafting / preparing associated correspondence.
• Demonstrated project coordination skills and experience.
• Demonstrated knowledge / skills / experience working with and / or providing guidance to Indigenous landholding entities.
• Demonstrated ability in working effectively both autonomously and as part of a team
