About the Role

Mars Recruitment is partnered with a globally recognised financial institution, who is seeking a Corporate Actions Analyst to join their Sydney based team. In this role, you will manage the end-to-end research, processing, and reconciliation of fixed income and equity corporate actions for the Australian and New Zealand markets.

The successful candidate will collaborate with both local and offshore teams to ensure timely, accurate, and high-quality service delivery to institutional and custody clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed research and analysis of corporate action events, ensuring accurate notifications are issued across all client groups.
• Process market elections for voluntary events, including quality-checking peer work.
• Manage client queries, claims, reconciliations, and other ad hoc tasks assigned by senior team members.
• Maintain strong risk awareness and perform daily tasks within internal risk and control frameworks.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying process gaps and offering practical solutions.
• Complete monthly control self-assessments and support broader operational risk management activities.

Qualifications and Skills

• Tertiary qualifications in Business, Accounting, or Finance
• Previous experience working in a similar operational role, preferably in corporate actions or custody operations
• Minimum 2-3 years of experience working within the financial services industry
• Strong technical knowledge of corporate actions specific to the Australian and New Zealand markets
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Excellent attention to detail and able to work in a fast-paced environment
