Social Media & Content Creator

Location: Multiple site Newcastle and Hunter area

Iris hotel group in the Hunter is seeking a Social Media & Content Creator to bring our venues to life online through engaging and creative content. This role is ideal for someone passionate about social media, content creation, and in-venue activations. This role is to assist us to tell our venues stories and engage with our local communities. Reporting to the Group Marketing manager.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and produce engaging video content for all social media platforms, capturing the atmosphere of the venue.

Manage and post real-time content during peak periods, ensuring timely and relevant updates.

Create interactive and engaging content that resonates with a broad audience.

Showcase supplier promotions and activations through creative social media strategies.

Communicate supplier activations and promotions to staff, ensuring they are informed and engaged with in-venue initiatives.

Assist in the execution of venue activations and events, ensuring key moments are captured and shared.

Ensure all marketing collateral, including posters, screens, and promotional materials, is up to date and displayed correctly.

Maintain venue presentation standards, ensuring branding and marketing materials are consistent and well-positioned.

Collaborate with the head of marketing, operations team and venue management to develop and implement activations that drive engagement.

Happy to speak confidently in front of the camera to promote our venues in a positive way.

Skills & Experience:

A strong passion for social media, content creation, and video production.

Ability to film and post content in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

A self-motivated individual with a creative mindset and a keen eye for detail.

Experience in social media management, content creation, or marketing is desirable but not essential.

Strong communication skills to effectively relay supplier activations to staff.

Strong organisational and time-management skills.

Availability to work during peak periods, weekends, and special events.

This is a mobile role working in venues to create authentic content. This will involve working events and during our prime times to capture us at our best. The venues included in this role are:
