Your opportunity:

Our rapidly growing Digital & Information Group is expanding, and we are seeking a Digital Transformation Analyst to join our newly established Digital Transformation team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a forward-thinking organisation that is driving digital transformation and enhancing service delivery for our customers, community, and people.

The Digital & Information group is responsible for digitally enabling Urban Utilities today while transforming our future capabilities to enhance digital services for our customers, community, and people. We drive Urban Utilities' digital & data strategy, oversee the digital portfolio, and manage IT, OT, data, IoT, security, infrastructure, system administration, network operations, and support services.

As a Digital Transformation Analyst within our Digital Transformation team, you will collaborate with a diverse group of professional and operational staff, applying best practices in business analysis to support shaping digital transformation initiatives to deliver strategic business objectives. You will play a key role in supporting business case development, requirements definition, benefit identification and quantification, facilitation of workshops and cross-functional collaboration, and conduct detailed analysis to provide insights that drive effective decision-making.

Role responsibilities;

Develop business cases that align with Urban Utilities' strategic priorities.

Conduct business analysis, informing optioneering, investment and delivery program planning.

Analyse business process models to identify digital change opportunities and impact areas.

Facilitate workshops with stakeholders to gather high level requirements, align objectives, and drive collaboration.

Define and elicit requirements, ensuring alignment with business goals and project outcomes.

Identify and plan for management of interdependencies across enterprise demand pipeline and delivery of strategic digital initiatives.

Conduct risk assessments to mitigate potential challenges in transformation initiatives.

Perform market research to identify industry trends and best practices.

Identify benefits and measurable outcomes for transformation projects.

Apply expertise in decision tree development and eigen question formulation to support decision-making processes.

Drive rationalisation efforts to prioritise initiatives based on impact and feasibility.

About you:

To be successful in this role, you will have a passion for digital transformation and business improvement, along with the following skills and experience:

Demonstrated experience supporting analysis in IT, OT, IoT or a related role

Proven experience in business case writing, business analysis, and process analysis.

Strong facilitation skills, with experience leading workshops and stakeholder engagements.

Expertise in requirements definition and elicitation, ensuring that business needs are effectively captured and addressed.

Ability to manage interdependencies across multiple projects and programs.

Proficiency in conducting risk assessments and mitigating potential issues.

Strong analytical skills with knowledge or experience in decision trees and eigen questions.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

A background in market research and benefits identification to support business transformation.

Security clearance/SOCI requirements may apply, depending on the role and responsibilities.

Performance of 'on call' duties are an inherent requirement of this role. This requires that the employee must be available to be on-call and to attend to work matters, both in person and remotely, outside of normal working hours, including evenings, weekends and public holidays, as reasonably required to fulfill the requirements of the position. The days, times, duration and frequency of on call arrangements may be subject to change, including at short notice, as required by Urban Utilities' operational needs as applying from time to time. At all times whilst on-call, you must be fit for duty, contactable, and able to respond, including the ability to physically attend if required, to the operational needs of the business within a reasonable timeframe and in a safe manner.
