Chameleon Homes is a boutique, family-run builder delivering high-quality custom homes across Newcastle and Lake Macquarie. We’re growing and looking for an experienced Site Manager / Lead Carpenter to take the reins on site, lead by example, and help grow the next generation of tradespeople from within.

This role is ideal for someone confident on the tools, ready to step into more leadership, and who genuinely values positive culture, quality work, and collaboration.

What you’ll be doing:

Running the day-to-day on site — from trade coordination to timelines and quality control

Staying hands-on with carpentry, while leading others by example

Supporting and mentoring Leading Hands — helping them grow into leadership roles themselves

Managing site logistics — including material ordering and job planning

Working alongside clients, consultants and trades to deliver a seamless build

Upholding strong safety practices and site standards at all times

What you’ll bring:

Qualified carpenter with residential site experience

Strong communication and leadership potential

Positive attitude, initiative and problem-solving mindset

White Card, driver's licence, own tools and transport

A genuine interest in team development and building a strong crew around you
