Qualifications & Experience

A strong work ethic with a positive attitude

Certificate 3 or higher in Sports Turf management. (essential)

Must have detailed knowledge & experience with Bent greens and kikuyu grass

Identify and correctly treat pest and disease in playing surfaces

Hold a current chemical license for the correct application of fertilizers & pesticides

Experience with irrigation including spraying and feeding schedules, pipe repairs and general watering schedules including hand watering

Excellent leadership and communication skills including working with our Management Committee, Golf Professional and Volunteers

Ability to prepare and present budgets and costings for course improvements and maintenance

Must be flexible with working hours dependent on course maintenance schedules, weather conditions and major club events.

Sound understanding and ability to implement WHS Procedures

Sound knowledge of standard machinery maintenance

Have a sound understanding of golf etiquette & general golf rules

Experience in construction & renovation of greens, tees, and bunkers

Tasks & responsibilities

Must be able to provide budgets to the monthly management committee meetings

Preparing reports for the management committee on course conditions, repair, and maintenance schedules

Be able to work independently also guide and train volunteers on safe use of machinery

Ability to operate and maintain a range of course maintenance equipment.
