About the role

Mitant Greenkeeping is seeking an Apprentice Greenkeeper to join our team in Western Sydney NSW.

This is a full-time role where you will learn and develop the skills required to maintain bowling greens and other high-quality green spaces. Under the guidance of our experienced team, you will gain hands-on experience in all aspects of greenkeeping, from mowing and irrigation to landscaping and pest management.

What you'll be doing

• Mowing, edging and maintaining bowling greens and surrounds as well as other green spaces around units and clubs
• Operating and maintaining various landscaping equipment such as mowers, trimmers, and blowers
• Assisting with irrigation system installation, repair, and programming
• Implementing pest and disease control measures
• Performing general landscaping duties like planting, mulching, and weeding
• Adhering to safety protocols and ensuring a clean and organised work environment

What we're looking for

• A keen interest in horticulture, landscaping, or greenkeeping
• Strong physical fitness and stamina to perform manual labour tasks
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Good communication and teamwork abilities
• A positive, reliable, and hardworking attitude
• The ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
• Preferred drivers licence and own vehicle
