About the role
DC Conferences and Association Management (DCC&A) is seeking an experienced Conference Manager to join our dynamic team. As Conference Manager you will be supported by conference coordinators and will be responsible for the end-to-end management of our industry-leading conferences, ensuring the team delivers seamless execution, exceptional experiences for our attendees and meets the objectives of our valued clients.
This is a full-time role based in our office in North Sydney
What you'll be doing
Manage all aspects of conference planning and delivery, including venue selection, budgets, speaker coordination, program development, marketing, and on-site logistics
Work closely with our client associations to understand their objectives and deliver conferences that exceed their expectations
Liaise with vendors, speakers, and other stakeholders to bring the conference to life
Monitor and report on conference budgets, attendance and other key metrics
Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement innovative ideas to enhance the conference experience
Provide exceptional customer service to our clients and conference attendees
What we're looking for
Minimum 4-5 years of experience in event or conference management, preferably in the association or non-profit sector
Excellent project management skills with the ability to juggle multiple tasks and deadlines
A strong and empathetic leader
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Proven track record of delivering high-quality conferences and events
Familiarity with marketing and promotional activities to drive conference attendance
Proficient in the use of event management software and other relevant technology
Tertiary qualification in event management, marketing, or a related field is highly desirable
