About Us:
Simply Helping has been providing trusted in-home aged care and disability support services since 1998. With 18 franchises across Victoria, NSW, ACT, Western Australia, and Queensland—and more on the horizon—we’re a growing organisation with a strong focus on people. We’re committed to inclusive, evidence-based practices that support both the people we serve and our employees. Our collaborative, office-based team in Toorak values professionalism, support, and shared success.
About the Role:
We seek an experienced Content Writer and Marketing Coordinator with a natural aptitude for exceptional writing. Your primary focus will be producing polished, professional content that aligns with Simply Helping’s brand narrative and objectives.
To create thoughtful, purpose-driven content, you’ll need strong writing skills and sound business acumen—the ability to understand the ‘why’ behind each piece and ensure it supports our strategic business goals.
From website copy, advertorials, blogs, and social media posts to newsletters and print collateral, your content will be clear, compelling, and consistent. It must be strategically tailored to suit the purpose and format of each channel while maintaining our established brand voice and tone.
Reporting to the National Marketing & Brand Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping content that resonates with our audience and strengthens Simply Helping’s brand identity. Beyond content, the role also involves coordinating marketing initiatives, assisting with event planning, and maintaining marketing databases, where exceptional attention to detail is essential. Accuracy, organisation, and follow-through will be key to ensuring nothing is overlooked.
Key Responsibilities:
Apply exceptional writing skills to craft high-quality content across websites, social media, newsletters, digital and print publications, brochures, and other marketing collateral.
Write engaging long-form and short-form content, such as blogs, landing pages, and social media posts, that upholds our brand voice and speaks to our target audience.
Conduct thorough research to ensure the accuracy and credibility of all content.
Edit, revise, and proofread with precision to ensure correct grammar, a professional tone, and polished execution across all content.
Create compelling visual content, such as images, graphics, and video, to enhance the impact of social media and digital content.
Plan, manage, and optimise the social media calendar to ensure strategic posting.
Monitor social media performance, analyse data, and refine strategies to improve engagement and meet key objectives.
Assist in the planning and execution of events and marketing initiatives, and maintain accurate databases.
Collaborate with stakeholders to coordinate tasks, confirm details, and ensure marketing activities are delivered accurately and on time.
Skills and Experience:
Experience: Minimum 2 years in a content writing or copy-heavy marketing role, with a portfolio demonstrating strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills. A tertiary qualification in Creative/Professional Writing, Communications, Journalism, or Marketing is desirable, although relevant experience is equally valued.
Copywriting and Content Creation: Proven ability to craft compelling, audience-focused content across various formats and platforms, maintaining a professional and consistent brand voice.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in social media platforms (Facebook and LinkedIn), emailing tools such as Mailchimp, and creative tools such as Adobe Creative Suite or Canva.
Attributes: Flawless grammar, punctuation, and syntax, paired with strong research skills, meticulous attention to detail, creative flair, and business acumen.
Independence and organisation: Proven ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines, and troubleshoot independently to see tasks through to completion.
Important Information:
Salary: Based on your skills and experience.
Location: This is an office-based role in Toorak.
Application Requirements: Please submit a resume and a cover letter addressing the criteria above. Applications without a cover letter will not be considered.
Portfolio: Please provide examples or working links of your previous work that demonstrate your writing and content creation skills.
Compliance: This position is subject to applicable compliance requirements, including a current NDIS Worker Screening Check, Working with Children Check (Employee), COVID-19 vaccination (including booster), and valid Australian working rights.
If you’re a detail-oriented, organised, and confident writer with a business and marketing mindset, we’d love to hear from you!
