The Leaders
Reporting to the National HR, WHS and Training Manager who brings a wealth of knowledge and experience, this role will work alongside a supportive senior leadership team with deep industry experience themselves. The business values practical, solution-oriented thinking and a hands-on approach to leadership, with a strong ethos of integrity and teamwork.
The Opportunity
This critical role is responsible for leading and overseeing the delivery of WHS services across the organisation. The focus is on implementing safety-driven programs, managing compliance frameworks, and driving a consistent safety culture nationwide.
Key responsibilities include:
- Oversee and continuously improve the Safety Management System across all depots
- Manage incident investigations, risk assessments, and hazard mitigation strategies
- Lead WHS reporting and data analytics, including injury trends and engagement metrics
- Drive compliance with WHS and rehabilitation legislation (WHS Act, SRC Act, Comcare scheme)
- Manage injury response, workers’ compensation claims, and return-to-work plans
- Develop and deliver WHS training programs in partnership with the L&D team
- Provide expert guidance to managers and WHS committees on emerging risks and safety improvements
- Build stakeholder relationships with regulators, insurers, and health providers
About You
This opportunity would suit an experienced WHS professional, possessing the below experience and attributes:
- A Diploma in WHS and advanced qualifications in Return to Work Coordination
- Strong working knowledge of the WHS Act, SRC Act, and Comcare framework
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement WHS systems, policies, and strategies
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels
- Willingness to travel interstate as required
